Passion Journals

These specific purpose notebooks neatly collect information and reviews
about new recipes, books you read, wines you have drunk, films you see or
want to see etc - I use mine to keep track of favorite wines and the places
they were consumed.

Jimmy the Chicken Writes a Book!

Jimmy the Chicken Writes a Book - is a story for kids written by a chicken.
Seriously, this whimsical story is populated by a cast of colorful animals,
and seemingly written by Jimmy himself. The story follows the trials of
Jimmy and his best friend Stanley, the chicken as they navigate life on a
farm and use team work to help Jimmy find and reach his goal of becoming a
writer. Your kids will be rolling on the floor when Jimmy tells what
happened to Stanley when he pick a giant hot pepper and tried to eat all of
it - My kids response was "read it again mom".

KidDictionary - Have a Laugh!

This made me giggle. The KidDictionary is a book of words parents need but
don't have like WISHJACK or SCOOBUNGLE.

Ed_Emberley_-_Go_Away_Big_Gree.zip (289 KB)

If you haven't discovered Ed Emberely and you have kids you have been
missing. The simplicity of his new book, GO AWAY BIG GREEN MONSTER,
demystifies what a kid may think a monster to be. Besides his books, his
website has fun downloadable activities and drawing tips. I particularly
like his finger print drawing ideas.

Gastrokid - Is Your Kid a Foodie?

Are your kids foodies? Or maybe you wish they were? Gastrokid is a food blog
we've recently discovered written by two dads (Hugh in L.A. and Matthew in
Wales) on a mission to serve good, home cooked meals to their children. In
their words: As all you parents already know, if you want to eat well and
you don't watch to cook multiple meals every night, then you've got to
convince, cajole or win your children's appetites along for the ride.
Hugh and Matthew offer kid-friendly recipes that are more sophisticated than
fish sticks and grilled cheese, but that still seem manageable on a
weeknight. You can find all their fantastic ideas in their book The
Gastrokid.
The Gastrokid Cookbook: Feeding a Foodie Family in a Fast-Food World
They have also begun compiling a list of Kid-Friendly Restaurants of the
World to which readers are welcome to contribute.
